Educational Professional Standards Board Committee Appointed     October 24, 2012
KCM Senior Director Alice Gabbard has been appointed to serve on the TECC (Teachers of Exceptional Children Committee) charged with reviewing current special education and exceptional children program processes for approval and certification and issuing recommendations for improvement.

Professional Learning Opportunities: Mathematics Response Intervention Network     October 24, 2012
The MaRTI (Mathematics Response Intervention) Network for Grades 3 & 4 will launch in three Kentucky locations in December. Although the previously projected possible funding from the Mathematics Science Partnership Grant has been delayed until the spring (and is not guaranteed), we are moving forward to offer, at cost, this learning experience for those eager to get started. The KCM's offering of the Erikson Early Math Project has had an astonishing start. Over 100 enthusiastic Kentucky preschool teachers are participating and additional sessions are being added throughout the state as requested. Erikson and KCM staff and faculty have bonded and are already planning for expansion and extensions! See details here.
